gKANBANh
gKANBANh is one of the tools of the pull system in order to make gJust-in-timeh function, though it sometimes seems to be mistakenly taken for Toyota Production System. There are two types of KANBAN in rough classification, gProduction Instruction KANBANh to use for production order and gWithdrawal KANBANh to use for transportation. For the purpose of avoiding overproduction, KANBAN must be maintained through repeated KAIZEN in daily operation and be controlled based on the following operation rules:
@ Parts must be withdrawn by the post process,
A Production must be carried out only for filling up the withdrawn volume,
B No defective parts must be sent to the next process,
C The total number of KANBAN must be minimized (Total quantity management), and
D KANBAN must be used for fine adjustment (Production volume ceiling).
