gFacilitatorh
The term gfacilitateh originally means to promote, ease, lubricate, make smooth, coordinate, assist, or encourage. At discussion time, it is to encourage participants to speak out, coordinate views in discussion, confirm the consistent perception among themselves to promote mutual understanding, and vitalize the organization to achieve the consensus. As far as KAIZEN activities are concerned, it requires a neutral stand in supporting members so that they can implement KAIZEN easily and smoothly.
It is an on-site KAIZEN facilitator (cooperation promoter) who is in charge of facilitation at manufacturing sites or offices from a neutral stand. He/She is expected to provide the organization with every possible occasion for intelligent and creative activities such as problem solutions, idea creation, consensus forming, education and learning, reform, self-realization, and growth, in order to support and promote the activities.
